Game Introduction

Remnants is an open world sandbox survival game which is being developed on the Unreal Engine 5!

Tackle starvation, dehydration, thermal conditions, radiation poisoning, and toxic gas inhalation while trying to keep your sanity intact. Shack up, cook some chicken, and make friends or enemies as you discover, explore, learn, build, and develop your skills and strategies needed to survive.
• World day-night cycle

• Character skills and attributes - level up your character increasing your survival chance

• Dynamic weather - thunderstorms to fog to light rain
• Weapon attachments - add red-dots and other useful mods to improve your weapons
• Harvest and gather resources of all kinds
• NPCs - Animals, Mutated Humans and Elites Enemy Types
• Farming - Graden beds, compost bin and greenhouses
• Cooking - Campfire to stove to pot and grill
• Smelting - From stone to iron furnaces

Early Access Information

Why Early Access?
“I wanted to get more players involved to continue gathering and improving the game using their feedback.

The early access version is only intended for those who are interested in participating in the game’s development as I continue to move forward with the project.

I’m a sole developer, having self-funded the entirety of this project, working on it whenever I could since early 2016. As my passion and hobby, I feel this is an important disclaimer for those considering to play the game, so players can make a more informed purchase decision.” Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
“I plan to keep the game in EA up until I’m happy with its overall state, content, and gameplay.

I’m in no rush to move the game out of EA as I feel it gives me the freedom to expand the game in the direction I want as a solo developer.” How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
“The full version of the game will offer all the Early Access features along with the following features, with more being added each month based on community ideas.

• New maps with cities, adding a new experience for survivors.
• Steam workshop support is planned, we want the community to be able to develop cool mods and maps for everyone to enjoy.
• Water base building.
• Fishing
• World Vehicles
• More range of quests and objectives.
• More NPCs and NPC events.” What is the current state of the Early Access version?
“The game currently offers all play styles; single player, multiplayer, PvE, PvP, with many key features already in place (including base-building, crafting, air drops, NPCs and looting).

I really encourage anyone who is considering trying out the game, to first check out some gameplay footage posted by our awesome content creators to get a better idea of the current state of the game and the progress being made.” Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
“Yes, because the game isn’t complete and will be undergoing frequent updates, I felt it best to offer the game at a lower price during this Early Access period, which also gives more people an opportunity to be a part of the development process.” How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?
“Since early development began in February 2016, I’ve been actively answering questions and talking about the game on our community Discord, where some members even became closed Alpha testers.

Player feedback has always had a huge impact on how the game evolved, and will continue to play a crucial role in its continued development.”
